2010 Annual Report — Wisconsin Synod

St. Mark Lutheran Church is part of a larger fellowship — the Wisconsin Evangelical Lutheran Synod.  We are one of about 1,300 congregations spread throughout the United States walking together in a common confession of faith, carrying out work together that we could not do as an individual congregation.  This work is divided into four main areas:

  • Home missions (starting congregations in the United States)
  • World Missions (bringing the Gospel to people around the world)
  • Ministerial Education (training future pastors and teachers)
  • Congregational Support (aiding congregations in various areas:  worship, evangelism, technology, stewardship, parish schools)

We are thankful for this fellowship of faith, encouraged to know that we are not alone in this hostile world.  So thankful are we, that we support our larger church body by sending them 11% of our general offerings each year to carry out our ministry together.

Each year, the leaders of our Synod produce an Annual Report summarizing the situation of our Synod, the work being carried out, the work we desire to carry out.  Click here to read 2010’s report.
