Too smart for his own good…

World-renowned scientist Stephen Hawking has written a new book and declared “God was not needed to create the universe!”

Here we see the dangers of genius in the hands of the sinful nature, here we see the utter hostility of the sinful nature to God, the proof, as if we need more, that by nature, on our own, we are hopelessly separated from our Lord.

I imagine the Lord Jesus will hold Romans 1:20 in front of Hawking’s face:  “For since the creation of the world God’s invisible qualities — his eternal power and divine nature — have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that men are without excuse.”

Read also 1 Corinthians 2:6-16 and 1 Corinthians 1:18-31.  And, of course, Genesis 1-2.
