WELS Annual Report — 2009

Each year, the Wisconsin Evangelical Lutheran Synod produces an annual report to detail ongoing challenges and successes in the ministry of the church body.  It’s meant to give a snapshot of the goings-on in various areas (e.g. Home Missions, World Missions, Ministerial Education, etc.), as well as to update congregations and members about past, present, and future initiatives, plans, programs, and ministries.

The goal of the report, is to remind us that even in the midst of hardships (Acts 14:22), while we live in the time of the opening of the seven seals (Revelation 6ff), still through the work of the Holy Spirit in the means of grace, Christ’s Church is being built and he’s even using a small church body like the Wisconsin Synod in that work as we proclaim the Gospel and administer the Sacraments rightly.

You can read the report here.
